I used to take the street car here back in the day it was the BCER. Used to be big Street barns and a Turntable. When BCHydro moved in on BCE. In the 1960's. This Street Car yard was closed I believe. And subdivided. Into Salish park And Salish Mall Development. Very sad. I would have been better to have kept it all intact! As it was a part of BC Early original interurban transit system! I strongly support re activating the BCER from New Westminster to Chilliwack maybe even extend it to Hope bc ! GodBless And Long Live the BCER forever !!
Love the geese, ducks, and koi. The koi are huge! Just not a fan of some of the other patrons, and the debris they leave behind...

Quaint little park sitting between local public Library and a hotel. Has a man made pond at it's center, directly adjacent the hotel. There is a small playground for kids, and nicely maintained grounds. The pond contains koi fish, turtles and is frequented by ducks and other migratory waterfowl.It bears noting that my 3 star rating of this park is based entirely on those that drink and such there. Not a park to stroll at night alone.
