Lots of sunflowers! They come in two heights: tall, and taller; and if you go walk in the hybrids garden there are other beautiful colors. Some raised platforms and tractors (new and old) to take photos by, as well as some outdoor garden games near the entrance. Good place for photos and a leisurely stroll. They also sell pre-cut sunflowers.
Hygiene was my biggest caveat, but that aside, having experienced the tulips in Amsterdam, t'was difficult to get too excited by this display. Perhaps it was the weather which decided to be fickle, and the shower did less than nothing to lift my spirit. And public toilets never fail to give me nightmares. If one wishes a truly memorable expo of sunflowers, try flying to crazy Amsterdam, or come to my photo repository for some unforgettable moments of more than just sunflowers, but a whole lot more.
This year it was sunflower festival instead of tulips some of them were so beautiful some were dying and they told us there are more than 5 kinds of sunflowers, but we just saw three. Most of them were dying the only ones they looked okay were the ones for sell. It was a good experience since I hade never seen a huge sunflower. If you happen to be in Vancouver, Canada and you would like to see the flowers. You should visit it. If you buy the tickets online is cheaper than paying cash.
Went to the sunflower festival in September. Lovely flowers. Expensive entrance fee. Horrible parking lot. On a busy day it will take a long time to get in and twice as long to get out. On a busy day... If you can park outside and walk, you may not regret it.
I went during the summer flower festival. It was very beautiful, it is advertised as having 12 kinds of sunflowers but we only found a few. In the pick your own sunflower section the flowers were pristine. However, in the rest of the field many flowers were unkempt. Still very pretty family friendly fun!
